Gentleman" Jack Keller (?-December 2003) was a professional poker player.
Keller served in the United States Air Force prior to becoming a poker pro.
He won the 1984 World Series of Poker main event, 3 WSOP bracelets and
more than $1.4 million in tournament play during his career. He was
inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame in 1994.
Keller had three children, including poker professional Kathy Kolberg. He
died in Tunica, Mississippi in December 2003. His obituary follows.
Jack Keller, a world class poker player, just passed away in Tunica,
Mississippi. Jack was a world champion poker player and loved to play
seven card and no limit poker.
Jack and his wife Gloria lived around the corner from Carol and me for many
years here in Las Vegas before they moved to Tunica.
I have played many poker tournaments with Jack. He was a great
tournament poker player and a past winner at the World Series of Poker.
Jack was one of the original ten members of "The Seniors" WCOP Poker
Players Hall of Fame.
Jack was sometime known as "Gentleman Jack Keller." He was definitely a
gentleman, and much more.
Jack will be missed by all of us who loved to play with him.
