| The pre-flop statistic is pretty straight-forward. In this mode, a relative hand ranking is displayed. This ranking shows the strength of your pocket vs. the other possible pockets. While there are 1,326 different possible pockets permutations 52 * 51 / 2, there are only 169 distinct pockets from a pre-flop perspective because many of these pockets are structurally equivalent. For instance, in a pre-flop match-up 6 Hearts/7 Diamonds is an equivalent hand to 6 Clubs/7 Hearts -- they are both 6/7 off-suit. Another example, 8 Spades/8 Diamonds is equivalent to 8 Clubs/8 Hearts -- both are a Pair of 8s. |

The post-flop statistics are a little more involved. In this mode two
statistic groups are shown, the Head's Up Win/Loss and the Hand
Probability Chart.
The Head's Up Win/Loss is computed by dealing every other possible
pocket and every other possible turn and river that could come down (if
they haven't already really been dealt). For each combination, your
pocket (hand) is compared and a win, loss, or tie is called. The
percentage calculation is then computed based on the number of wins,
losses or ties for your pocket compared to the total number of possible
combinations. The equity value is simply the Win % + 1/2 Tie%. This
is a way of accurately incorporating the Tie% when calculating pot odds.
While this number is a head's up probability (player vs. player), it is
still a good general measure of your hand's strength.
The Hand Probability Chart shows information on your chance of hitting
a particular hand. The top row, "# of Chances", shows the number of
combinations that will hit a particular hand. For instance, in the
illustration above, the player has 45 possible combinations of cards that
will result in hitting a flush and an additional 45 combinations of hitting
a straight.
The "% Chances" is the number of ways to hit a particular hand divided
by the total number of possible outcome combinations. For instance, in
this example at the flop, there are 45 combinations of cards that will
yields a flush (10*9/2) and there are a total of 1081 possible future
combinations (47*46/2). Therefore, the chance of hitting the flush is
4.16% (45/1081).
The "Cumul. %" is the chance of hitting a particular or better. This is
computed by summing the percent chance of hitting a hand with all of
the chances of hitting a better hand. Therefore, while the "% Chance"
to hit a flush this example is 4.16% and the " % Chance" to hit a
straight is 4.16, the "Cumul. %" to hit a straight is 8.33%.
